Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai Day 2

Hey guys! How ya'll doing?
Sorry for not updating for the past days. Been busy with school things after school started. Yeah, My school started few days ago. And honestly speaking, It sucks exclude the part that you get to hang out with friends. Well, my new school principal has change the class names into some mainstream names. Like, Kreatif, Inovatif, Dedikasi etc etc. Before that it was some nice bird names. hmm..

Next it was the school cheer. The old one was ; KAMI CEMERLANG, SMKTD TERBILANG. And they changed it to DESARIAN CEMERLANG. At first when we just heard the prefect announce it. All of us were like WHAT?! SO FUNNY LEH. OMG. The old school cheer that we had shout it out loud for years has changed into something that does not rhyme well. I think it's just that we're not familiar with it. But still.. ew. lol

Oh wells, just 2 more years including this year then I'm out! BAM!

Okay, I think I'm gonna continue with my trip to Thailand with the Chan Clan now. :D

So one night at Chiang Mai then we're gonna go to Chiang Rai the next day! The tour guide said that the girls  that are more fairer than Chiang Mai because of the cooling weather. Well, to me, I SEE NO DIFFERENCE. lol. Packed, checked out and then we went to some traditional paper/cloth umbrella making place. Once you reach there and go in, you can see those old aunties were sitting and making umbrellas. From cutting the some tree stick and tie it together to drawing on the paper/cloth.

Just slicing some stick ~

Tying all sticks together ~

And voila! the center of the umbrella. The one that holds the umbrella in place.

After that, they will stick the cloth or some thick paper and then draw on it. Believe me, they are very very very very very very good at drawing patterns on the umbrella. I think it's because they did it for years and years and they are very used to drawing the same patterns over and over again. :O

Applying glue ~

STICK!

She was applying some wax to the umbrella for protection I think.

Look at the design and the amount of umbrellas. :O

Drawing on the cloth umbrellas

Then dry it under the sun. :D

Because it's a tourist spot. They prepared some attractions. It's not some ordinary performance or some talking. It's drawing on your belongings. If you want them to draw on your belongings like T-shirts, Jackets, Pants, Hand phone cover, Backpack etc etc. They already prepared some sample drawings which you can choose and they will draw it on your belongings! The price range is a minimum of 200 baht which is around rm20. Depends on how much you wanna give based on your satisfactory on their drawing. If you don't like it, you can give 200 baht. If you love it so much, you can give higher as a reward for them. The tour guide said that their salary ain't high that's why they're doing this to earn some side incomes.

In process of drawing on the lil cousin sis denim

My mom's jacket has an eagle. LOL

In process of drawing my jacket. Well, at first I don't want because I don't want to ruin the jacket because it's kinda pricey nowadays. But my mom keep forcing me to do it. Then, I gave in. At first I want to have a fierce dragon on the sleeve because It will look chio and fierce. But then I can't find a suitable nice dragon to be draw on it. Ended up choosing a colorful peacock. lol

the final masterpiece! Well, It looks kinda nice. I'm scared that it will smudge when I wash it. D:

My lil cousin sister's pants. So pinkish. :D

Awww.. Feel the love between the brother and sister

My mom's second jacket. I don't really like this because there's not enough colors and patterns on the dragon.

My uncle's wallet. lol. He gave him his name card and ask them to follow it and draw it.

A UNICORN SPOTTED.

and this is my cousin brother's pants. Fat ass elephant on the jeans.

We spend quite some time at that place. We even skipped the talk or some performance or presentation they prepared for us. We're so bad >:) Can't blame, everyone of us was too into letting them drawing our belongings. Time goes by and there are more and more tourist coming into the place. I even saw a Korean boy around my age calling his mom; OMMA OMMA! lol. There's even a lady tourist saying that she let them draw her handbag last 20 years ago, and the drawing is still on her bag until now. Well, I'm sure the color will fade a bit since it has been there for so many years. But still, it last that long. lol

After that, we went to a silk factory.
I think I learnt this in my school's Living Skills class. It's called Bombyx Mori. Right? Right? Pity them, they can't fly up because their wings are too tiny for their body.

From a worm

to a cocoon. They said that if the cocoon is yellow, It means that It's from Thailand, If its white, then its from China.

Then they BOIL THE COCOON TO GET THE THREAD. Omg la. So disgusting. Some more when the finish rolling up all the thread from one cocoon, the cooked silk bug is still in there. eww.. One cocoon can roll up around 500 meters of silk thread. :O

This is how they make the silk cloth. Pull and push and pull and push. I think If I do it, my fatty arms will be gone and my hands will be muscular. lol

PEACE OUTZ!

Some silk products. It ain't cheap yo! The orange elephant costs about 250 baht if I'm not mistaken. It means its around RM25. RM25 for that small elephant deco. Although it's cute but neh..

Later on, we went to a restaurant by the Chiang Mai river. The food wasn't really nice. But you can enjoy the river view which the water is brown in color, lol, and the cold wind breeze.

Thumbs up for the same color of the T-shirt and the table cloth. (Y)

Pretty flowers deco at the open air corridor.

Tom Yam again. OMG. They served Tom Yam for almost every meal I ate. Grr... All the pimples.

After the meals, we went to the Teak Factory. It's lame la. They only show us 2 people who are craving the wood at the back. Then the others are just those products they are selling. Some more the prices are in USD. Teak wood products are so damn pricey. OMG.

But can't really blame that it is too pricey. Look at them! Doing the craving one by one. I think If its me, I'll spoil the whole wood and get fired on the first day of work.

Le cat is chilling out on the products with the fan blowing directly on it. So cute. :D

Then we continue our journey to Chiang Rai. It takes around 2 and a half hours to get there. I just sleep and sleep and sleep. Come on, I'm not really a morning person. Making me wake up at 7 a.m in the holidays is just ridiculous. So, almost every time when I get up the bus, I'll end up leaning on the window and sleep.

Otw there, stopped by at a small hot spring to fresh up and get some coffee.

I LIKE TAKING PICTURES OF FLOWERS BECAUSE ITS NICE. k.

The water here is mad hot. Like seriously boiled water.

The road from Chaing Mai to Chiang Rai is actually very bengkang-bengkok. Thank God I slept through the journey. Reached Chiang Rai then we straight away went for dinner. The sky is really dark when the clock strikes 6 p.m.

Some thing almost the same as I ate the past few days. All SPICY. BOOM!

Wheres my food? :(

Then we CHECK IN TO HOTEL!

The room ain't bad. There's a big mirror there!

Chilling in the lobby with lil cousin sis because there is free wi-fi there and we're getting ready to go to the night bazaar!

Posing with all the cute faces. hahaha..

LETS GO TO THE NIGHT BAZAAR!

I like this because it looks like they're filming some movie. hahaha

Attracted to the socks shop. lol

These are tiny pineapples which are only available in the Northern part of Thailand. I didn't eat it because I don't like pineapples. But my mom say that I taste better than the normal pineapples. Its sweeter and more crunchy. So, If you like pineapples and so happen to be there, go try it!

Some ahgua performing on stage.

Disgusting fried bugs. I don't have the guts to eat it. lol. Its so disgusting. But its high in protein. D:

Look at the crowd!

I find this cute. hahahaha

In the night market, we got attracted by some vintage photo shop. I know right, A photo shop. Hahaha.. 4 photos for 200 baht. Around RM20. Everyone took a picture and had a good laugh together. They have those vintage stuffs and clothes that we can lend it and wear. For the guys, there're those white coats that will make you look like a general during the olden days. Hahahaaha

And this is the outcome.. There are actually more but then I didn't take a picture of it. They'll instantly edit and print out the photos on the spot! So yeah..

Lil cousin sister sitting like a boss. ahaha

So Thats day 2! Will continue with day 3 soon! STAY TUNE!!
